Police Advocacy The Humsafar Trust is conducting a sensitization program for railway and general police on issues of HIV/AIDS, and sexuality as part of its ongoing World AIDS week observations. The program will span reporting spots as well as individual stations where there is a lot of harassment either by goons or the police. The current agenda will cover spots like beat stations Bombay Central, Dadar, Bandra, Andheri and Borivali in the western suburbs and CST, Sandhurst Road, Kurla and Kalyan in the central suburbs. Our trained advocacy panel will raise awareness on general HIV/AIDS issues with special emphasis on MSM (Men who have sex with men) issues and how the community faces access problems to proper legal, medical and social services. We will also sensitize them to The Humsafar Trust outreach program and the need to work with vulnerable populations. The sensitization will happen twice during the day today once at 9.00 am in the morning and the other at 7.30 pm in the evening so as to catch all the police officers on duty.
