Bug ID: 79637 Summary: missing documentation for PARAM_MAX_FSM_THREAD_LENGTH Product: gcc Version: 7.0 Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: driver Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org Reporter: roland.illig at gmx dot de Target Milestone: --- As a translator, I don't understand the technical babble in params.def for PARAM_MAX_FSM_THREAD_LENGTH. Therefore I look it up in invoke.texi, which is supposed to provide useful, understandable documentation. In this case, invoke.texi verbatimly repeats the one-line description from params.def, which is in no way helpful. There should be at least one paragraph explaining what a jump thread path is. As a general rule, the documentation in invoke.texi should not merely repeat what is already written in params.def.
