Kirk,
I have no strong objection, but I'm not sure what the advantage is. Could you
explain the rationale for it ? As far as I can see, MrSID and MG4Lidar drivers
don't share any common code. And I have the feeling that trying to fold them can
potentially lead to issues with the build system due

Has anyone ever heard of HRTI? If so, have you used it for anything? Can gdal
use it?
Thanks

HRTI is simple a very accurate DEM with very high spatial resolution.
It's not a format for data storage or transportation,
rather a (sub-)technology.

Hi Uwe,
Thanks for your reply. The l0.tif file does not contain any georeferenced
information. However, I have run the GDALINFO command on another raster
data file which is in the same map data set provided by the customer and
hence is supposed to be georeferenced
I turned off optimization for the C++ compiler (gcc 3.4.5), and it all worked like a charm. Removed -O2 from GDALmake.opt

Kirk,
Would it be a big deal to provide support for DSDK 8 in gdal? At the first
sight the only issue is the missing getVersion function in MrSIDImageReader
referenced in mrsiddataset.cpp. line 1448. We could probably extract the
same information from a different API function call.
Best regards,
Even,
Thanks for the feedback.
Yes, starting with v8.0, the MrSID raster and lidar SDKs are packaged together.
This is not to say they are unified - in fact the two SDKs are literally just
in there sitting next to each other. Nevertheless, they are intended to be
used together for full
Thanks for your suggestions, Uwe. They are surely very helpful. I will try them
out and let you know if I need any further help from you.
