I hand fed mine babyfood (chicken mixed with a little water and calcium
dust) by using a syringe and putting a dab of it on her face. She would
lick off quite a bit. I did eventually have to have her euthanized
because she had a huge abdominal mass. It cost about 35 dollars to have
her put
The huge abdominal mass is yet another symptom of Crypto. In geckos,
Pepto-Bismol (yep, its exactly what you think that is) has helped with the
swelling. It provids relief to the intestinal and stomach pain, often
allowing them to eat without regurgitating. Again, this was tested on
geckos

WHAT,Julie,youre not going.
Thanks so much, Leann for your posts. It appears from what you're saying
that even if the vet were to verify that she has Crypto, there isn't much
the vet could give her to help that I could only get from him. Would there
be anything wrong with my treating her under the assumption that's what

Hey Julie, they are pretty hard to spot at night. The Orang Asli guide that was with us was the only person to spot them.I did spot a Cyrtodactylus Pubisulcus on a tree.I really felt a sense of validation from the trip.I realized my successes with Felinus were trial and error, but I was also very
To all,
I am sorry to say, I'll be missing the Texas symposium next month.
Given there's a conference in Chicago coming up, I need to go where
it is most cost effective, and that's Chicago from Cleveland.
Hope ya'll have a good time, and I am still hoping that there will be

WHATT,I CANT BELIEVE IT,are you ok girl?Hows that for pressure Lyle.Seriously though, hope everythings ok Julie.Probably that new house got you all wrapped up huh?
I think they(felinus) really are unique,in that most other wildlife stares at lights shone in their eyes. All the spiders and frogs we saw did just that.I had the pleasure of catching a glimpse of a slow laurus(sp?) along a roadside, and it just stared at the headlights. Most of the other geckos did

cant believe May is already here! You guys have less than three
weeks to book your rooms for the symposium. I know that there will be a
lot of last minute attendees, so you guys should prepare early. Ive
placed ads in most of the local rags (Austin) and around the internet. Im heading up
Both conferences were scheduled conflicting with races I can't miss! :(
You guys will have to have fun for me!

Diane,
I am sure Leann will step in, I have been gone for the past three days
and am just getting caught up on e-mail! Even if you do not have an
non-domestic vet locally some will do phone consults for a fee.
http://www.arav.com/USMembers.htm is a great place to find non-domestic
vets.
Hi Julie!
Thanks for the info. I'll see what I can do about getting her tested.
Luckily, Na'Toth and Sadie have been living in separate enclosures except
for a brief period after Sadie's initial quarantine. Na'Toth turned out to
be a bully and wouldn't let Sadie eat, so we got her her own house.

Good deal. Then you can develop a treatment plan. Right now you don't
know what is going on. Could be something as treatable as a big pinworm
infestation or as bad as crypto. Fecal
