We have servers that have both IB and ethernet-only clients. The
ethernet-only clients access the servers via IPoIB through a
gateway. For small MTUs, the IpoIB software interrupt load can get
pretty unmanageable so we would like to be able to spread the load
over multiple cores.
Operational Question
We have some storage nodes across the room from our IB switch and
reach them with 10M copper cables. These 10M cables have been an
ongoing issue for us as they fail (start showing symbol errors) fairly
frequently. We decided to start replacing them with
We've got a couple of Cisco 7008/Topspin 270 core switches.Much of
the diagnostic and topology information we get from the ib diag tools
in OFED refer to the internal ports rather than the actual external
slot/port.We could deduce the mappings, I suppose, by tracing
cables and

Krishna, if you are interested, you could add cma support to the
rest of
these.
The provider layer listen() call is passed a cm_id and a backlog.
The accept() call is passed a cm_id, and a conn_param. I'm
wondering if there is (or should be) any relationship between the
cm_id associated with the creation of the listen service and the
cm_ids passed in for
.

I'm a little bit new to OFED/RDMA development and can't seem to find
a spec or rfc describing the rdma/cm layer. I don't see it in the
iWARP consortium RDMAP spec (not even a reference to it) and googling
turns up mainly references to the OFA-general mailing list. Is
there a spec
