kill -s TERM PID ? Is it correct, if I want to stop an indexer process ?

I just installed mnoGoSearch-3.2.0.b1 and the
mnogosearch-php-3.1.3.5.tar.gz front end. Both where the latest
versions.
I have indexed a site I host for testing purposes (ldp.intellit.nl), a
mirror of the Linux documentation project, but to my surprise I get no
results when I search

Yes. It's OK.
Another question : the partition /usr where splitter writes his files is
nearly full, and I want to use another place for the next index time. What
should I do ? Delete everything in /raw and everything in splitter. Then,
moving two empty directories (raw and splitter) and the full tree ?
