bad opengl performance afte I switched to intel driver from 2.5.x to 2.6.
The compiz and playing video were very slow, independently of the CPU usage.

I had the same experience, when I turned on the 'DMA engine' option in
the kernel config (from 2.6.18.x)
I disabled it and after it everything are working fine.
