Hello list: I have been trying to get SMTP authentication on Gentoo to work with no success. I am running qmail (netqmail package) with dovecot and saslauth. I am able to connect and read my mail through IMAP fine. The problem is that I cannot send email using my own SMTP server due to an

Hello All, I can't seem to get sound working. I compiled the kernel so sound support and also installed the alsa drivers and still no luck. When I boot the machine I get a lot of snd errors saying that it failed to load the drivers. When I look in /var/log/messages I get this:
