Login as root Gnome-light started with its logo displaying a while and faded out with following warning:- - There was an error starting Gnome Settings Daemon - Something such as themes, sounds, or background setting may not work correct - The Setting Daemon restarted too many times - The last error message was There was an unknown activation error Gnome will still try to restort the Settings Daemon next time your login * * * END * * * Evoked Xterm window # shutdown -r now Gnome-light started and died as previously.
