As I have stated to the bug report this issue was solved for me with portage
2.1_pre9-r4.

module. I just attempted to enable the custom module instead and insert this
elog command:
PORTAGE_ELOG_COMMAND=echo -p '${PACKAGE}' -f '${LOGFILE}'
/tmp/logprocessor
