The said problem appeared just since the intallation of the new Gentoo system in January-February 2018 and not since changing the major version of gcc this spring. P.S. clang is not installed on my Gentoo system at all.

Hi, after an emerge --dep-clean yesterday, I've noticed today that I don't have any java-jkd / jre available anymore. Although I've emerged dev-java/oracle-jre-bin dev-java/oracle-jre-bin eselect java-vm list doesn't show these. How make these "visible" to eselect again? Many thanks for a hint, Helmut

Hi all I have been looking for an opensource document management system ... there are a few but none of the ones I have come across are in portage. Are there any DMS's in portage at all? Otherwise, can someone suggest ones worth trying as most seem suitable from their websites but its going to time and labor to start testing them outside portage? BillK
