Hello, I'm using a Hauppauge WinTV HVR 1900 (usb), with a self-compiled kernel 3.2.11. The USB device works very well, but I would like to use LIRC 0.9.0 with my kernel. So I have set the LIRC_DEVICES=hauppauge within my make.conf and run emerge. Emerge fetches this packages: [ebuild N ]

greets, today I wanted to be clever and ran emerge -e gnome to rebuild all my gnome-3 desktop. Unfortunately things didn't get better from this. I can hardly logon, gconfd-2 produces high load and /var/lib/gdm/.gconfd/saved_state grows quickly to around 4 GB until it fills the disk :-( I

Here's a marvelous program crying out for an ebuild; https://launchpad.net/boot-repair It's part of my Ubuntu setup. With one click it goes out and finds all the boot partitions on your hd(s) and automatically writes the proper grub2 configuration for them. It even pastebins a copy of grub.cfg
