Looks like I've encountered a bug in emerge.
I do a sync, some updated packages are displayed, but emerge -avDu
@world doesn't see some of them, though I don't have them masked.
A today's example:

That will add dependencies to world, which is a bad thing. You can use
depclean to produce a list
