[gentoo-user] evil ebuilds.

Portage seems to be fairly OK right now but these ebuilds are really
really being evil... I've spent about half a day on this bullshit so I'm
in a really fine mood right now.

Here are my masks right now, much of my mask file is obsolete, these are

FWIW, I think that change was due to a warm buffer cache.  The next
few times I did a sync the verify was back to the usual 10+ minutes
(with /usr/portage/distfiles still empty).

I did look on bgo and google, but no joy there.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.  Sounds like something with glibc,
