(1) enable 'fuse-fs' in kernel ;
(2) re-merge Kio-extras with USE="mtp" ;
(3) wake phone, plug in USB connection at both ends ;
(4) on phone, tap 'allow' to access data ;
(5) on Gentoo, Dolphin shows
