It's not package.use but package.env, documentation url is right, just
what I wrote before isn't, no idea what I was thinking at the time.

Same issue here with FF and distcc, it's happening for few releases
now, whenever I tried to find a solution I was going over some old
build system issues with FF on their bugzilla.

You can disable distcc for specific package using package.use[1].
I have just two things set:
FEATURES="-distcc -distcc-pump"
and MAKEOPTS reduced in the nodistcc.conf

If you have cpu frequency scaling options enabled (in kernel[1]) and
Cool'n'Quiet[2] in BIOS, that should be normal.

I have no idea, does it mean it bounced, and mailing list software did
re-send them later or not. I don't see a way to use those numbers to
find out which email message relates to the number. So no answer for
any of those.

But what is interesting is that all of us use gmail.

It could be that gmail is receiving a lot of messages from
lists.gentoo.org and that triggers some spam protection? :(

I never needed this, so I don't know how to do it directly with emerge
(is it possible?), but you can use equery like this to get a list:

equery -q d dev-lang/go

-q/--quiet (minimal output)
(d)epends (list all packages directly depending on ATOM)

to get a list of packages installed which depend on dev-lang/go
you can filter versions out of it and feed that to 'emerge -av1'.

Or if you trust this ugly one-liner without filtering (probably ugliest
thing, but seems to do the job):

emerge -av1 $(for i in $(equery -q d sys-apps/util-linux); do echo
"=$i"; done)

Possibly it's just the issue with two packages which cannot be
installed at the same time. Recently[1] util-linux added the same
functionality and command 'rfkill', so that is probably why those two
cannot be installed at the same time, try removing net-wireless/rfkill.

Hi Peter,

There is no much information to understand what exactly you tried
already.
I use claws-mail for a few years now, have no issues, it's a great
mail client, but whenever I want to start fresh I do go around all
settings (general) and account and tweak things, so I don't remember
what defaults are.

Take a look at "Configuration > Preferences" under  "Mail Handlig >
Receiving" in "Automatic checking" section "Check for new mail on
start-up" is set (if you want this) (interval checking if you
want that as well).

Also take a look at "Configuration > Edit Accounts" then select your
account and "Edit", under "Account > Receive" is "'Get Mail' checks for
new messages on this account" set.

Some examples you can find
in /usr/share/doc/netifrc-0.5.1/net.example.bz2

Replace netifrc version with one installed on your system.

Just upgrade it, glibc is backwards compatible, no extra procedures
regarding it.
