I am having as issue with 2 x NTFS drives that are in my Gentoo box that I
am trying to share by AFP. EXT2/EXT3 shared drives work fine but not NTFS,
it just returns and error when trying to mount on the Mac that the volume
could not be mounted.

Having just reinstalled Gentoo (AMD64) on my PC and setting up sound
according to the ALSA How To I can play audio files, in this case MP3's,
fine in XMMS but when I try them in either Amarok or Juk they are choppy
and unlistenable.

I have been trying to install Gentoo 2005.1 on an SATA drive connected to
a Silicon Image chipset controller. The SATA interface and drive are found
at boot, I then create 3 parititions:
/dev/sda1 32M /boot
/dev/sda2 512M
/dev/sda3 40GB /
Then I go through the usual process of untarring a stage3

chip. I have recomipled my kernel (2.6.12-gentoo-r6) to include the
saa7134 module and i2c support as a module.

The module (saa7134) is loaded and has the correct board type and tuner
but no matter what application I use (I have tried xawtv, kdetv and
tvtime) I cannot get any picture or sound.
I've tried the instructions found at
