I'd seen all the threads on the problems with portage
it
into the tree, at which time it will become subject to the ordinary
Gentoo config management system, but until that time the config
management is living in a sandbox where it cannot be affected by, nor
affect, the stable config management system already in place. That's
about the only way
-- for debugging purposes only.
# 'nostrip' prevents the stripping of binaries.
# 'notitles'disables xterm titlebar updates (which contain status info).

Googling your error messages give Bug #339157 and some forums threads, one
of which is in french. The bug still open but there is a patch claimed to be
working. Give it a shot after trying Dale's sandbox trick.

I didn't try your advices as I don't now how to try them. How do I deactivate
sandbox?
I tried to search for
touch: setting times of gentoo
but I don't understand how this is related to my problem.
Yahoo reply broken? I don't know what to say about that... gmail works

other workstations.
That sounds about right.
To get a feel for how it works, visit puppet's web site and download
some of the test appliances they have there and run them in vm software.
Set up a server and a few clients, and start experimenting in that
sandbox. You'll quickly get a feel
in that
sandbox. You'll quickly get a feel for how it all hangs together
(it's
hard to describe in text how puppet gets the job done, so much
easier to
do it for real and watch the results)
Puppet seems like overkill for what I need. I think all I really
need
is something to manage config file

Mostly hardcoded paths and such are the reason.
Sometimes it works even

his is the problem or not but it may be worth looking
into the python 2.7 target requirement. The devs are actively removing
python 2.7 support since it is reaching its end of life. It could

MU over the years as a more minimalist
solution. I preferred it as a more direct and simple solution to multiple
virt layers, APIs and what not.

requires seccomp) to sandbox some functionality like icon handling - -
systemd: Enable use of systemd-specific libraries and features like
socket activation or session tracking - - test : Enable
