I set DNSDOMAIN variable to my domain in /etc/conf.d/domainname
file, but see it:
embedded etc # domainname
(none)
Am I doing something wrong? Or missing something?

Check this:
/etc/init.d/domainname status
Make sure it is running it.

The command you're looking for is `dnsdomainname`. `domainname` looks
up your NIS/YP
