How can I get rid of gail-1000 finally?

Read the message again, gail-1000 does not block, older versions do.

emerge -C \gnome-base/gail-1000

 Hi,

from time to time this message pops up after syncing:
 [blocks B ] gnome-base/gail-1000 (is blocking x11-libs/gtk+-2.14.4)

How can I get rid of gail-1000 finally?

This question has been raised some time ago, gail is included in gtk
now, thus the blocker.
