I think I typed in something wrong and sort of made a mess of it. I had
to copy a backup file for group and passwd to get things working again.
Here is what I have right now:
root@fireball / # cat /etc/passwd
root:x:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash
bin:x:1:1:bin:/bin:/bin/false
