[gentoo-user] displaying only installed packages

HELLO all, How can I output only packages that are installed on my system. and not those that aren't. example: emerge search kde output really all packages containing the word kde. It is very hard to read all this just to verify that one or 2 kde packs are or not installed. Thank you Bayrouni
