[gentoo-user] poppler - how to update it elegantly?

Hi, my most hated package is poppler. Each time in the past and now again it's hard to upgrade. portage (2.2.7) cannot handle it, so I have to (manually) unmerge all packages depending on it and emerge them after the poppler upgrade again. Has anybody found a more elegant procedure? Many t
