[gentoo-user] poppler - how to update it elegantly?
Hi, my most hated package is poppler. Each time in the past and now again it's hard to upgrade. portage (2.2.7) cannot handle it, so I have to (manually) unmerge all packages depending on it and emerge them after the poppler upgrade again. Has anybody found a more elegant procedure? Many thanks, Helmut.

Yesterday's update worked just fine: $ genlop -t poppler * app-text/poppler Wed Sep 18 08:46:05 2013 app-text/poppler-0.24.1 merge time: 33 seconds. Sun Sep 29 12:31:08 2013 app-text/poppler-0.24.2 merge time: 35 seconds. What errors are you getting? Any customizations to poppler on your system?
