Your card is a 802.11b Prism card, right? The mention of orinoco prism54 in your `dmesg` is confusing me. Do you have hotplug / coldplug installed? I think you may need to install one of these to deal with PCMCIA (well, probably Cardbus, really) cards. I don't use hostapd - have you
