I checked the contents of the security directories/files between those you suggested in data-2.9.zip and those I had in my 2.7 data dir. I just insert the right baseurl in the geonodeAuthProvider/config.xml and it works. Now I have geonode 2.4 stable with geonode 2.9-snapshot. I can confirm
