Hi Mandana,
I am pretty sure you mean GeoWebCache and not GeoWebCatch.
Are you being able to create a map using Geoserver ?
Geoserver has a built in GeoWebCache, which I believe it is prepopulated
with GeoServer Layers. So you could start playing around and getting
acquainted with.
Are you being

Hi folks,
I am caching and after I pass zoom level9 I get this from
geoserver: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded
I have two separated boxes, one for GS 2.1 another for GWC 1.2.6
Both are running in a Windows008 64bit
GWC metatiling is set to 12.

You can try with line breaks \n in your label text. Not sure how to colour
differently each line.
My really long label -- My \n really \long \n label
It will create a line break for every \n

Hi folks,
Does anybody know if there is a way calculating the parallel offset of a
Line Geometry ?
Just using the offset function will only work for straight lines which are
either vertical or horizontal.
Any ideas ?
Would it better be to calculate them Externally ?
warm regards
Ricardo
Andrea,
Thanks for your quick reply !

I am adding a WMS data store. I am trying to add GS as its WMS layer. I
understand this is calles cascading.
In the URL I enter:

I add it succesfully, I can see all the available layers.

Hi Antonio,
OpenLayers is a Javascript framework, which loads geoserver tiles
dynamically.
best place to see examples is at the http://openlayers.org/ sample page:
http://openlayers.org/dev/examples/
http://openlayers.org/dev/examples/Good examples to select and highlight
features dynamically
Hi Antonio,
I understand it is feasible. But the best tool for the job seems to be
OpenLayers. Are you familiar with this ?

Ricardo,
Is your SLD valid? If so can you please post it?

Hi Mustafa,
In regard to Geoserver, I dont see why not, this is a server application it
doesnt really care about client side.
You might find interesting to set the tileSize to 128x128 or maybe to 64x64.
In regard to Android and OpenLayers, I bumped into this site
Hi everyone,
I have updated my GS 2.0.2 to 2.1.
Same SLD works differently.
The layer I am testing is a street layer stored in a PostGIS db.
My SLD has 2 FeatureStyle, one to draw the border of the street, and a 2 to
draw the fill of the street. This creates the ilusion Blocks.
Problem is
Hi folks,
does anybody know if it is possible to have geoserver read an array

I would like to have some SLD data, such as anchor, displacement values in
one field, and then have geoserver read the value from the array.

being a nice addition. Feel free to open a feature request in jira or if you
have some coding skills the patch for the geotools postgis datastore might
not be tough.

Hi everyone,
I noticed strMatches function uses regular expression, supper cool !
I dont understand very well how I should write the filter. Got two concerns:
1. How should I pass two arguments ?
2. When function returns true/false, how is this return ? lower case,
upper case, camel
Outstanding !
Thank you both very much.
