So nothing in the old service security subsytem was changed?

Thanks for your response Martin. I'll have a look into clustering on the

particularly good solutions for doing this? I would really like to find a

Thanks Aime. The digest method was added at hand in 2.2.2 version.
Now, I guess the tutorial on GS webite should be updated, as

And about my PostGis problem, that was indeed a
As far as I can remember, the only major change was how to calculate the
roles you can assign to resources. This was necessary since
- it is possible to have multiple role services
- there are some new system roles like ROLE_AUTHENTICATED
The role/resource logic was not touched by me and I think

Hi list
I have seen this presentation on slideshare [1], and I would like to
get a try to the MongoDB plugin.
Was it finally released?
Only thing I could find is a GeoTools plugin [2], wondering if there
is anything more consolidated or if I can find any sort of
documentation to use the plugin in
That's it, great ! I used solution 1, copying security dir from 2.2.2 to
2.3.0 without extra of modified files from 2.3.0. Now I have all my
PostGis layers.
Thanks Christian !

Hi,
We are using GeoServer for a small Webmapping application and it works fine.
Now we are asked to be able to add lots (hundreds) of users. Which means heavy
load and scalability. And probably roughly 10 getmap / sec.
But we're having a hard time to figure out if geoserver is the right tool
Hi Paolo,
There is currently an unsupported module in GeoTools that provides access
to mongo, but its not being released through GeoServer in any way.
We have a few clients interested in mongo support and have recently looked
at the plugin. Unfortunately the plug-in is a bit specific to the

10 getmap a second is not heavy load, see this blog for a setup in which

Ok, so that's my fault ! :) Indeed, I just changed it and Size is
displayed. In GS 2.2, I had Quota disabled, but the Disk Used was

Thanks Aime.

Yeah, that was a bug in 2.2. Basically the disk quota

I've been involved with projects that have done DB-side clustering (both in

Agreed - all good points.
If GFI did access the RT output, I was thinking that it would be possible
to add a mode to the PointStacker RT where it returned all the original
features, but with a point coordinate set to the location of the computed
cluster point. Then this mode could be enabled in
