Fair enough.
That said we are still on for release next week. Everything is clear on the
geotools side of things (working on documentation as a nice to have).

I believe you misread my message, I'm explicitly saying to wait until
GeoTools 21.0 is out, and only then do the backport.
I'm asking regardless because I would like to avoid waiting one month
(which, if done, would bring me very close to
the 20.3 release date, and I'd rather avoid it)
We usually do a call out for any last moment fixes and back ports ahead of
a release ... if this is you answering the call I am fine with the back
port. The new dependency is the only thing giving me pause.
