I am trying to find a way to rad a geotiff from a URL (I have a WCS
running and want to get my data from there, and there is not yet a WCS
client in geotools 2.5-SNAPSHOT, as far as I know).
I have a working query, that I also successfully read in a BufferedImage

the easiest thing to do is downloading the tiff as a temp file and
then opening it up using the geotiff reader.
I would not bypass the geotiff reader since otherwise you would loose
all the fancy stuff that are in it.
