I'm looking for a list of implementations of TMS (http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Tile_Map_Service_Specification) vs. WMTS (http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/wmts) Also, what's the relative quantity of data/volume of queries satisfied by either? I.e. what's the overall level of popularity?

Thanks everyone. I think I got the info I was looking for. My sense from the replies is that the OSM z/x/y scheme is the overall winner in terms of number of tiles served. It's used by Mapbox, OSM, and MapQuest. Yahoo has switched to Noki and they use the same z/x/y but add in a pixel size for
