Hello All,
I am looking to add to my little group and was wondering if anyone on the
list has or will have any pups available. I am looking to get them around
Memorial Day since I will be traveling from Louisville, KY up through
Indianapolis on to the Chicago area. If you live anywhere in the area

to look into every corner as you wrote for I only see mine when they are up
out of their little burrows.
Anyway, I would love to hear
My gerbil babies were five weeks old yesterday. Today I put the three boys in
a new tank with dad. Is it okay to leave the two girls with the mother or
should there just be one? Right now all the males are in a 10 gallon long
while all the females are in a 20L tank. I guess the new pups will be
I know it has been brought up more than once but does anyone know what became
of one of my favorite gerbil sites? Is it just MIA or gone for good?

I have those five pups ready to leave their parents next Friday. I won't be
able to buy their new cages until a week after that so can the pups stay
together for a week or so longer? When do they become sexually mature? I
think I have three boys and two girls so can I take out all the boys and the
Sorry for the way off topic question but can get no response from the bloated
rat list. Anyone here know of where I might obtain fancy English mice in or
around Louisville, Kentucky? Are any of you gerbil lovers mice lovers too or
know someone that is?
Thanks

Hello All,
My five pups opened their eyes yesterday. They will be three weeks tomorrow.
I was planning on weaning them away from Mom when they were 5 weeks and then
a week after that putting them off into their own same sex tanks.
Anyway, I picked up my pair and the female was already pregnant
I came across the message below on an AOL message board. Can anyone help?

The pups were 2 weeks old as of yesterday. I can see them in their nest as it
is right up against the glass of the tank. My question is whether it will be
safe to dig the pups out and handle them or will Mom Dad get really upset?
I would like to start getting them socialized.
Thank you
Joe
Okay, here is yet another development in the gerbil saga. My wife of 5 weeks
decided to tell me her allergies and asthma are being worsened by the
presence of MY animals. Has anyone else had this problem? I am thinking about
trying a HEPA filter for the room where my little ones are kept but have

I use empty paper towel and toilet tissue rolls for my gerbils to chew on. Is
it safe to give them other cardboard such as empty cereal boxes or anything

Well, thank you to Angie Donna for their helpful advice but now I guess it
is all a mute point. I went to change the tank and what did I find but 5 pink
little babies. I guess now the best thing to do is just let them be and let
Mom and dad do their thing.
One new question I do have is when will
Hello All.
I am new to the list and for that matter I am new to gerbils. Anyway, I will
get to the point. I brought home two little ones from a breeder and put them
into a 20 gallon aquarium. I have it about a third of the way filled with
aspen with tissue tossed in for them to decorate with and
Hello All,
I am new to this list and so this is my first post. I was wondering if anyone
on this list where I might find a reputable breeder in the Louisville,
Kentucky area. Stores aren't much help.
Anyway, I am living in Austin, Texas now but will be moving up there around
the end of March.
