I just got a tumor removed from the belly of one of my boys and he can't leave his sutures alone. We've gotten to the point that he's scabbing up a bit, but every time I leave him alone he starts chewing. I want him to have the chance to heal! Does anyone have ANY suggestions??? Thanks in

The vet where I used to live once told me that aluminum staples seem to work better for small animals than sutures. They tend to not chew on them so much. Perhaps your vet would be willing to put staples in instead of sutures if you took him back? I've had surgeries done twice that needed the
