I think, it's a bug of 2.4 rc2
I use gimp 2.4 rc2 on windows xp pro sp2
when I copy some new font file into gimp font folder
like C:\Documents and Settings\user name\.gimp-2.4\fonts
and refresh font dialog of gimp, then new fonts must be displayed
in the dialog. but they wasn't.

Is that actually one of the folders configured as the Fonts search path
in the Preferences dialog?
Of course!
on gimp 2 .2.17, I can use all fonts just by copying into those
folders.(about 800 fonts)
but gimp 2.4 rc2 I can't
