Thanks Joel --
I've been googling for info on making GIMP faster, and I think I have most
of the bases covered (caches, SSD, RAM, etc.), but using large brushes on
large images is still very slow.
Any reason you have to use such large brushes?
Except, I should ask first, how large to you

It is. Sadly so.

1. Photoshop predates GIMP by 10+ years
2. GIMP contributors
Chris1, unfortunately, when wrote:

How do I do this?
unfortunately, you did not provide as much information as you might have
to answer the question, but in general, it's more likely than not

I have an i7 4770K and am using Intel on-board graphics. Would getting a

Hi, had the same problem, but found a solution (and just registered here to brag
about it... ;)).
The GIMP configuration is correct, i.e. change the tablet action from disabled
to "screen".
But Windows has a pen system setting which translates from German (sorry)
roughly as pen and finger input.

I'm new to gimp. No matter how many times I try...the lock pixels and lock alpha
channels options will not work.
I would like layers completely locked so as to not accidentally move them. I am
a veteran photoshop user and this is a very easy thing to do...but for the life
of me I can't get gimp
Hallo to everyone..!! this was my first post.
I'm a long long long time enthusiast Gimp user, i use it for work, i'm web
developer and web graphics designer. I've ever used Gimp on Linux distribution
and often on Windows machines.
NOW (for my huge trouble) i'm using a Mac PRO with OS Sierra
