I have been using the GIMP for years and I love it, though I don't do
many of the fancy things. I have tried to figure out how to make a
"fade" with the clone tool (and paint tool). I found this site
https://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-tool-dynamics.html and I see all kinds of
fancy "dynamics" and
I'm not sure if it will give you what you want, but try making a brush with
a very low "hardness' factor and use it for cloning. I was looking for a way
to feather my cloning, too.

Hello all
I have made a 20 frame gif and have just found the bloomin amazing wobble
script.
Is it possible to make each frame wobble as it changes from one to the next ? It

Is there a way within the gimprc or gimp pluginrc file to load a file extension
(eg. cr, cr2, nef, dng, ...) as a default UFRAW file type?
In other words, I have *.nef files and Gimp enjoys choosing to only open the

Can you be more specific? Does GIMP detect the tablet upon startup, does it
have separate tools associated with the pen/eraser ends of the stylus, and what

(above a certain predefined level).
Here is a sample:

My guess, from looking at your picture, is that probably GIMP holds the EXIF
metadata in memory, and that it
automatically gets saved whenever you save the GIMP .xcf file, and gets
exported along with the image
whenever you export as an image
Can anyone guide me in resizing the icons and brushes in GIMP 2.8 for Linux Mint
18? The text automatically adjusts with system settings but the icons remain
miniscule, which makes it almost impossible to choose a brush or tool! I
discovered the themes made for Windows, but none for Linux. Any
Going off on a slight tangent, I can see where a sub-menu option should be
within the load menu upon selecting and *.nef file (or similar RAW image file
containing multiple images), where the user should be able to check/tick the
images to open (eg. Thumbnail image, JPEG image, RAW image, ...) and

Experts: is there a way to select just Shadows or just Midtones, or just
Highlights?
Then one could just use the
