Hello,
I am using the following setup:
2 CentOS 5.4 i386 servers who both are using Gluster 3.0.2 with the
latest FUSE patch.
Both servers are server/client and mount /mnt/glusterfs.
I've put my Qmail maildir (/home/vpopmail) on /mnt/glusterfs and
symlinks to keep the /home/vpopmail link

Craig,
I suffer teh same issue, the sync; echo 3 /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
speeds up my glusterfs.
How often should I run it?
I have it scheduled once a day:
0 8 * * * sync; echo 3 /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

I am using CentOS 5.5 with 32 bit gluster and fuse patch on 2 servers
with 1 GB memory and 2 Xeon cpu's but maildir performance is so slow.
