I installed Red Hat Linux 7.2 on a pc clone with an Intel Pentium 3
processor and it is connected to a NIS domain. I configured this machine as
a NIS client during the install and upon reboot it seemed like it bound no
problem. The NIS server is a Sun Ultra 5 running Solaris
Could anyone tell me if dump will work on ext3 file systems? From what I
read it looks like it won't so I guess tar is what I should use. Can anyone
shed some light?

Under Redhat Linux 7.2 I can't seem to get ypxfrd to start on the NIS
server. When watching the system boot there is an error when ypxfrd tries
to start and it says
starting yp map server:execvp:no such file or directory
so of course it fails.
