I have been working with different Javascript based packages and libraries, but still do not have a basis for a presentation.
As best I can tell, developers are attracted to Javascript for the portability. It runs in all browsers including the smart phone and tablet browsers. By combining a Javascript web server with a Javascript web client, you can write an application that runs most anywhere: Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, iOS. Javascript is an awkward language and there are a lot of alternatives to simplify development. Hopefully I will have developed enough background by October to provide a somewhat useful presentation topic: Nifties presenter: Us At: Dartmouth College Haldeman 041 http://dlslug.org/directions.html Admission is free All are welcome 5:30 Pre-meeting dinner at Ramunto's Brick & Brew Pizzeria.
