I'm thinking there are likely 3, maybe 4 major categories of
television user that would want a DVR, at least that I can imagine...
(excluding satellite, although they fall into a similar category as
the cable box scenario below)...
1 - Basic cable - aka coax cable coming into the back

I'm pretty sure that's wrong in most cases. Most cable operators
encrypt every High Def cable channel, even Basic Cable. The Local
Stations may be sent in the clear, but that's about it.
