Hi, Ben:
Thanks for offering to promote this. You pretty much know what there
is to know at this point. I've got around ~30 days to get the story
together for Hopkinton.
Matt Oquist is running the Nashua program. He has some notes up at:
http://www.softwarefreedomday.org/teams/america/USA/NH/Nashua
Note the link on that page appears to be broken.
Can someone who knows more about what we're planning let me in on
it? If I get sufficient info, I'll create a page for GNHLUG's
involvement on the GNHLUG website.
Plans are pretty loose at this point:
- CDs for visitors to take home: the SFD folks will supply some
Ubuntu disks; I'd like to bake some OpenCD disks and some of the most
recent OpenOffice CDs with their "goodies" included (templates, clip
art, etc.).
- Posters at the event, brochures about Open Source and GNHLUG,
- A couple of machines set up showing FOSS running on Linux, Windows
and possibly Mac.
- Press releases to the media need to go out pretty soon now.
Really haven't had a minute to give this a thought. Hope to spend
some time this weekend.
