Hi,
I don't know if there is a package available for Debian/Ubuntu, but I'm
not using these distros anymore, so I created a Slackware package for
this library to support my needs.
If anyone is interested in this package it can be founded in
http://gnome.org/~carlosd
Best regards,
Carlos.

The question is that colorblindness filters aren't exactly related to

Thinking twice about it, having gnome-mag do should indeed be quite neat
actually. I've played a bit with it, and something like
magnifier -v -z 1 --colorblind-mode=type
Should be quite fine for most people.

Hi Daniel:
Colorblindness is certainly one of the more common issues that impact
the usability of our visual interfaces. It's great to have you onboard
to help make our desktops more usable.
Enhancements that support colorblindness usually work in one of two

You and Carlos put this very well. I agree with you both that this
sounds like a great thing to add to gnome-mag.
By the way, Carlos has recently done some very nice work to enable
fullscreen magnification without requiring two X screens, so based on

Hi,
I am colorblind. This problem doesn't cause much trouble, so it's not
something that really makes the computer useless without an
accessibility software. It would be better if everyone could take that
into consideration before drawing a chart, but unfortunally that isn't
always true.
Hi,
I actually had the same idea, but didn't have the exact knowledge of
colorblind issues. This would probably be a great tool for developpers
to try it!

Because there are a _lot_ of applications that don't use GTK+.
