Hi Peter,
After reading lot's of messages (from 2005 to today) about the
Metacity development, I don't think that the GNOME community want to
switch Metacity due all the maintenance that it have and the good
integration that it have with GNOME and I really don't want to start
this discussion

Are you coming to GNOME Boston 2007? Magnification is one of the

I'm not sure of the logistics of a phone in possibility. They ALWAYS
are very difficult when there are a large number of people in one room
and a few on the phone. In my experience, we can easily spend more time
with getting the call set up and I can't hear you problems than we do

I would like to suggest more study of the Compiz option before making
the decision to work with Metacity instead. While today it seems no
desktop UNIX distro is prepared to replace Metacity with Compiz, it does

Willie et al,
I was just thinking before actually reading this emai to write you (Willie)
so we could restart this discussion so I can write a nice proposal
for my next Mozilla grant proposal so I can possibly start working on this
by next month or so.
I will start writing a document and
this layer as well. And perhaps you have the layer at full (magnified)
resolution, so you wouldn't need to magnify it and thus it would be
jaggy-free.
