Help needed in getting latest gnome desktop

Dear list, I am planning to install latest version of gnome desktop. There are 3 options to upgrade. First one is to use yum. Second to upgrade from cds of latest version of linux. Third. To use gnome utilities like garnum and so on. All the above support only boxes having linux only. Now my
