Why not extending DTC with GnuDIP? Most functionality is still capsulated by 
perl modules and cli scripts - but yes, especially the DB layer may have to be 
modified.

May be it makes sense to make the database interface of GnuDIP more independent 
as one step forward in interoperability with third party applications as DTC.

I'm not shure how far it could be useful to rewrite the main perl modules into 
a single module which provides the GnuDIP protocol and services - may be it 
makes projects such as DTC easier to use GnuDIP within their project.

Any ideas?

Hi guys,

I am currently involved in the DTC (www.gplhost.com/software-dtc.html) 
project which is a full hosting control panel.   It also supports 
Dynamic DNS based on a URL post.   Perhaps it would make more sense to 
extend DTC (since it already supports user management and zone 
management) so that it could act as a more solid Dynamic DNS provider ?
