It's pretty much without a maintainer right now.  I've got some changes
I'd like to incorporate (including an expansion of the protocol), but
haven't had the time to do so (and will only do so if the source code
remains in perl as it is now.  I say that because at one point someone
talked about rewriting it in a different scripting language).

The package is usable as it is right now.  The web interface is a bit
raw, but it suffices.

I'd say go ahead and use it.  If you decide that it's time to expand
the functionality, bring it up here but don't count on someone else
doing it for you.  It might happen, but probably not :)
