Hello,
I've just built ntfsprogs v 2.0.0 on cygwin (built linked against cygwin
libs),
and it works, provided I substitute h for s on my sata harddisk or usb flash,
or removables.

Apparently this version of ntfsprogs does not work for SATA drives. A new
release
is being ported, but it will take some time before this available.
