i would love an output format where we see a line that says
-\/***/\** File 1 10-50:
{actual diff lines}
-\/***/\** File 2 : 10-40
(actual diff lines)
no ! at the beggenning
the -\/***/\** can be any random char set that is not in the file (so one pass
can check that - i can wait)
