Fr. Gregory Naik sj, the main celebrant at the midnight Christmas celebrations
held at the Don Bosco grounds in Panjim, exhorted the huge gathering to be the
change that Jesus came to be in a world torn by crime, wars, broken homes,
......... Making special mention of Goa, once a beautiful and peaceful State,
becoming India's capital of rape and drugs, Fr. Naik called every christian to
realise the mission (s)he is called by Jesus to play as change makers to
establish God's kingdom of peace and happiness. Will the close to 5 lakh
christians in Goa take this call seriously and make the coming year 2010
socially and politically eventful to restore the lost pride of Goa? Christians
are called to the change. That is what Christmas is all about, God starting
His mission of salvation by choosing to be born in a manger amidst the animals.
Merry Christmas!
