With all his MLAs including most from the Opposition too all tamed and caged, it was expected that in his two and half long years in office Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar would have at least if nothing else cleared the cattle straying on the public roads especially the highways. But sorrowfully the problem is only getting worse by the day endangering precious human lives. Who is the Chief Minister waiting for?
After the cattle are rounded up, he has to on a war footing next embark upon the stray dog menace which has peaked to alarming levels with packs of them in every nook and corner of Goa. And will the Chief Minister ever get down to dealing with the disquieting rats and cockroaches which have infested most government hospitals and in particular the Goa Medical College. All his other tall promises including the pledge of Good Governance, Zero tolerance to Corruption, Regional Plan, Garbage free Goa and the long buried vow to drive away the Casinos from the River Mandovi seem to be all destined for the cold storage. While Manohar Parrikar and his cronies make merry, very sorrowing lies the state of our Goa as it by the day drifts further and further astray. Amen.
